Occupants broke through the border in Chernihiv region? Statement of the State Border Guard Service.
Information that Russians broke through the border in northern Chernihiv region turned out to be false. This was reported by the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko, commenting on the statements of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).
«Such statements are actively circulating online with calls to follow the link for more information. This content is a classic example of advertising that uses fake news or provocative headlines to attract attention and increase the number of clicks on links», - noted the CCD.
Andriy Demchenko confirmed the absence of any attempts to break the Russian border in the territory of Chernihiv region.
«Instead, there is a threat of shelling from the Russian Federation, including the use of aviation, and the threat of continued hostile sabotage activities», - said the spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service.
Head of the Koryukivka district military administration Pavlo Miroshnychenko also commented on the situation in the northern region: «There have been no such attempts in our district. At least, I have no information to that effect».
«We urge media and Telegram channels not to spread unverified information and not to use provocative headlines on sensitive topics for Ukrainians», - emphasized the CCD.
By the way, fierce fighting continues in the city of Kurakhove in Donetsk region. The city is in a semi-destroyed state. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Joint Forces Operation «Khortytsia» Viktor Trehubov.
