Residents of occupied Donetsk are suffering from a lack of water. The head of the local occupation administration, Denis Pushilin, decided to sell water at a very low price, but this led to the closure of sales points due to exceeding the actual price of water by 5-7 times.
The Center for National Resistance reported on this situation. After the water problems in Donetsk, difficulties with the supply of bottled water began.
Price regulation for water in Donetsk
Denis Pushilin set the price for water at 3.5 rubles per liter (approximately 1.75 hryvnias). However, the actual price of water reaches 80-100 rubles for a five-liter bottle and 16-20 rubles per liter (8-10 hryvnias).
After pressure from Pushilin on entrepreneurs, the water sales points simply ceased their activities due to burdensome conditions. Thus, the residents of Donetsk are in a situation of total water scarcity for everyday needs.
Leading water suppliers in occupied Donetsk have stopped their activities due to unfavorable conditions set by the occupation authorities. The city's residents are forced to look for alternative sources of water supply to provide themselves with the necessary liquid in conditions of scarcity.Read also
