Ukraine increased agricultural product exports by 33.8% in October 2024
In October 2024, Ukraine managed to export 6.6 million tons of agro-industrial complex (AIC) products, which constitutes a growth of 33.8% compared to the previous month. This data was presented by the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.
There is an increase in exports across all categories of goods. The main reason for this growth is the completion of the harvest.
Export structure in October 2024:
- Cereal crops - 4.0 million tons (corn - 49%, wheat - 42%, barley - 10%). Growth: +33%.
- Oilseeds - 1.2 million tons (soybeans - 57%, rapeseed - 40%, sunflower - 1%). Growth: +27%.
- Vegetable oils - 590.2 thousand tons (sunflower oil - 82%, rapeseed oil - 11%, soybean oil - 7%). Growth: +38%.
- Meal after oil extraction - 474.3 thousand tons (sunflower - 85%, soybean - 15%). Growth: +82%.
- Other types of agro-industrial products - 420.4 thousand tons. Growth: +22%.
"Compared to the previous period, corn takes the leading position in grain exports instead of wheat, and soybeans in oilseed exports instead of rapeseed. This is due to the completion of the harvest of these particular crops," - noted the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.
