NABU Detective on the ‘Midas’ Operation: My Role Was Limited.
According to ТСН: NABU detective Ruslan Magamedrasulov commented on his involvement in the ‘Midas’ operation, noting that his role was limited and did not involve conducting investigative work.
In an interview, he emphasized that he did not lead the investigative group and was not involved in the pre-trial investigation. His duties were limited to performing certain tasks concerning specific individuals within the framework of this operation.
«I want everyone to understand that I was performing a specific narrow range of tasks that I could perform. I was not the lead investigator; I did not undertake any investigative activities at all. My task was to implement certain measures regarding specific individuals,» Magamedrasulov stated.
The detective also noted that he was only involved in the case materials at a superficial level to understand the overall context and execute the tasks assigned to him.
«I was very superficially involved in the investigative work to understand for myself what the essence of the criminal proceedings was. That is, even at this stage, I do not know the full extent of the case; I only know what was necessary to carry out my measures,» he added.
Let us remind you that the case of Ruslan Magamedrasulov and his father Sentyabr caused great resonance in society. Both spent over four months in custody. On December 2, the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv released the detective's father under house arrest, and on December 3, the Kyiv Court of Appeal decided to release Ruslan Magamedrasulov from custody.
This situation has drawn attention to the work of NABU and its employees, highlighting the importance of transparency and trust in law enforcement agencies. Cases like this can significantly impact the agency's reputation and its ability to conduct effective investigations.
