Russia condemns the US for operation in Venezuela: what is known about Maduro's detention.
According to ТСН: The Russian Federation expressed its outrage, stating that the US committed an 'act of armed aggression' against Venezuela, which caused 'deep concern and condemnation.'
This information is contained in a statement from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In Moscow, it was emphasized that the arguments referred to for justifying such actions are 'unconvincing.'
‘Venezuela must be guaranteed the right to determine its own fate without outside interference. Latin America must remain a zone of peace,’
the message states. Russia supports the 'path of dialogue' to resolve the crisis in Venezuela, emphasizing the importance of preventing the escalation of conflict.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that they are 'ready to support dialogue between the parties to the conflict over Venezuela.'
Moreover, it became known that Donald Trump claimed that Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro was detained and taken out of the country. According to him, the US successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela.
CBS News journalist Jennifer Jacobs reported that Maduro was captured by fighters from the US elite unit 'Delta', which also participated in the 2019 operation during which the former leader of the 'Islamic State,' Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was eliminated.
These events related to Venezuela demonstrate the growing tension between the United States and Russia in the context of international politics. The statement from the Russian leadership, as well as Trump's claims regarding actions against Maduro, indicate that the situation in the region remains extremely complex and requires proper attention from the international community.
