Olympic Champion Laura Dahlmaier Died While Climbing a Mountain
Laura Dahlmaier, a renowned Olympic champion and legend of world biathlon, died in Pakistan while climbing Laila Peak at an altitude of approximately 5700 meters. Unfortunately, she and her partner were struck by a rockfall, according to Reuters.

Laura's body has been left on the mountain. She ended her successful sports career at the age of 25, having won two Olympic gold medals and the World Cup, as well as becoming a seven-time world champion. After retiring, Laura became a mountain guide and took up climbing.
Laura Dahlmaier's Last Will
German and Pakistani media report that Laura left a will in which she predicted her death in the mountains. She requested that no one attempt to evacuate her body, as a rescue operation in such conditions would be extremely dangerous. Relatives have confirmed these wishes and call for respect for Laura's last will.
