Orban: Putin's visit to Budapest is currently impractical.
According to ТСН: The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, expressed the view that at present, the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Budapest seems impractical. He emphasized that there are no bilateral issues between the countries that require discussion at such a high level.
Orban announced this during a press conference on Monday.
The meeting between Trump and Putin did not take place
In October, US President Donald Trump expressed his intention to hold negotiations with Vladimir Putin in Budapest, but this meeting did not happen.
It is worth noting the possibility of war in Europe
It is also worth mentioning that earlier Viktor Orban did not rule out that the upcoming year 2026 might be the year the war in Europe begins.
In a situation where tensions in international relations are rising, Orban's statements reflect Hungary's cautious approach to cooperation with Russia. It is evident that countries with significant geopolitical interests continue to monitor the developments, as security in Europe remains on the agenda.
