According to ТСН: In Kyiv, in the Holosiivskyi district, the head of the district heating pipeline management "Pechersk" was detained due to a tragic incident - a 16-year-old girl fell into an unguarded pit with boiling water. The incident occurred due to damage to the heating networks on Lubanivskyi street.
According to the Kyiv city prosecutor's office, the head is being prepared to receive a notice of suspicion of violating safety regulations during high-risk work, which led to serious consequences, including the girl sustaining burns.
"The head of the district heating pipeline management is being charged with the violation of safety regulations during dangerous work, which resulted in serious consequences, namely - the girl’s burns (part 2 of article 272 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)."
This article provides for a penalty of up to eight years of imprisonment.
The girl sustained 73% burns to her body and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Doctors are fighting for her life, and investigative actions are ongoing.
In similar cases, it is important not only to clarify the reasons for the tragedy but also to take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. The safety of citizens, especially in urban conditions, must be a priority for the responsible authorities.Read also
