Pope Francis will present his memoirs titled "Hope", which will become the first autobiographical book by the pontiff. This was reported by the publisher Penguin Random House.

The Pope worked on the book "Hope" for six years together with the Italian publisher Carlo Musso. Initially, it was planned to publish the memoirs after the end of the papacy, but later it was decided to release them for the Jubilee Holy Year of the Catholic Church, which occurs every 25 years.

In the book "Hope", Pope Francis talks about his origins and the emigration of his ancestors to Latin America, his childhood, youth, choice of vocation, and adult life. The memoirs will cover the entire period of Francis's papacy up to the present day.

The book of my life is the story of the journey of hope, a path I cannot separate from the journey of my family, my people, the whole people of God. On every page, in every passage, it is also a book of those who traveled with me; those who came before; those who will come after.

The memoirs will also feature previously unpublished photographs. The book "Hope" will be released on January 14, 2025, in the United Kingdom.

Recall that Boris Johnson's memoirs titled "Unleashed" sold 42,528 copies within the first week after publication on October 10.

It is also worth noting that on November 26, 2024, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel will present her autobiographical book "Freedom. Memories 1954-2021".
