According to ABC News, another passenger named Aviva Kopaken claims she purchased three window seats that actually had no windows from United Airlines. Aviva selected these seats because 'she feels claustrophobic during flights and loves the view from the airplane window'.According to The Sun: The passenger claims that Delta never informed him during the online seat selection process that seat 23F did not have a window.
Both lawsuits seek millions of dollars in compensation for over a million passengers of each airline.Even if other airlines, such as American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, offer windowless seats, they inform passengers about this at the time of seat selection. Both lawsuits point out that United Airlines and Delta were aware of passenger complaints about the lack of window seats but continued to offer them as window seats for an additional fee.Passengers have accused the two carriers of the absence of windows in window seats. They are engaged in a legal battle, seeking compensation for falsely advertised premium window-view seats that actually turned out to be empty. For over a million passengers, their windowless seats became an unexpected surprise. The law firm Greenbaum Olbrantz in New York, which is handling the cases, has received a lot of interest after passengers experienced 'distress from such practices' and 'want to join the lawsuits', according to the firm's statement.
