Pavlo Zibrov Excluded from Stepan Giga Memorial Concert Lineup.
Pavlo Zibrov's Absence from the Stepan Giga Memorial Concert
According to TSN.ua: Pavlo Zibrov will not perform at the concert commemorating Stepan Giga, scheduled for March 28, 2026, at Kyiv's Palace of Sports. The artist clarified that he was not invited and does not consider it appropriate to attend the event. Stepan Giga, a prominent figure in Ukrainian music, passed away on December 12, 2025.
I am not on that list. Neither are Bobul, Pavlyk, Dvorsky, the Yaremchuks, Bilozir, Popovych—the so-called 'old guard.'
Pavlo Zibrov
Zibrov added that he had met Giga only a handful of times, around five to seven occasions, throughout their lives.
Khrystyna Soloviy Also Declines Invitation
In a related development, Khrystyna Soloviy has also turned down an invitation to participate in the memorial concert. As a result, there is currently no confirmed information regarding other artists who will perform at the event.
The absence of major stars like Zibrov and Soloviy could significantly impact the concert's atmosphere and public perception. This situation highlights potential divisions within the Ukrainian music scene and raises questions about the event's organization and artist selection process. Further announcements regarding the final lineup will be crucial for attracting an audience and ensuring the memorial's success.
