Pensions will be calculated differently: The Pension Fund of Ukraine announced a new figure.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has approved the average salary indicator for March 2025, which will be used in the calculation of pension payments. According to official data, the average salary on which insurance contributions were paid amounted to 19,430 hryvnias and 52 kopecks.
According to the Law of Ukraine 'On Mandatory State Pension Insurance', this indicator is taken into account when calculating pensions for citizens. This official value is one of the key parameters for determining the amount of pension payments.
It is worth noting that compared to previous months in 2025, there is a gradual increase in the indicator. In January it was 18,660 hryvnias and 32 kopecks, in February - 18,589 hryvnias and 38 kopecks, and in March it reached 19,430 hryvnias and 52 kopecks.
Information about the approved indicator was published by the Pension Fund of Ukraine on April 28, 2025, as part of the information accessibility policy.
Analysis
According to the approved average salary indicator for March 2025, it can be expected that the amount of pension payments will increase. This is good news for pensioners, as a higher salary means higher pensions. Such an increase may affect the living standards of pensioners and help them provide for themselves and their loved ones. Of course, factors such as inflation and changes in legislation still need to be considered, but overall this is a positive signal for pensioners in the Country.
