Retired Woman Asks Zelensky to Cancel the 1000 UAH Payment to Ukrainians: Petition.
Not Everyone Supports the Idea of Paying 1000 Hryvnias to Ukrainians
A petition was registered on the website of the President of Ukraine, proposing not to pay 1000 hryvnias to every citizen. The author of the petition, Lidiya Praslova, stated that this money should be spent on the country's defense capability.
“You initiated the payment of 1000 hryvnias aid to all citizens of Ukraine. Even considering my meager pension, I believe that this money should be used for Ukraine's defense capability,” the petition states.
According to Lidiya Praslova, this amount could be used to produce Palianytsia missile drones, which are needed by Ukraine. According to her calculations, she can produce between 500 and 1000 such missile drones. She also stressed that 1000 hryvnias will not help individual people, but the total sum for defense will protect Ukraine.
The petition was signed by 481 people. Earlier, the Government announced plans to pay 1000 hryvnias to every citizen as part of a new financial support program.
It is also worth mentioning that Ukrainians who receive two COVID-19 vaccinations will receive 1000 hryvnias via the Diia app. In 2022, the money from the eSupport program could be spent without restrictions.
However, not everyone supports the idea of paying such an amount of money to Ukrainians, believing that these funds should be directed to other needs, particularly the country's defense.
