Pentagon clarifies the amount of funds for military aid to Ukraine.
The USA has allocated $9 billion for military aid to Ukraine
The U.S. Department of Defense has reported that $9 billion has been allocated for aid to Ukraine. This includes $2.21 billion from the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) and $6.8 billion from presidential authorities.
This was announced by the spokesperson of the U.S. Department of Defense, General Patrick Ryder. According to him, the Pentagon received instructions from the White House to continue providing assistance to Ukraine and to use all available authorities for the expedited transfer of aid by the end of the administration's term.
Speaking about the importance of providing assistance to Ukraine, the Pentagon representative emphasized that the USA will continue to support Ukraine in its efforts to defend freedom and sovereignty.
