Naftogaz explained that the procedure for returning funds to a personal account due to overpayment or erroneous payment by clients has its own peculiarities and is applicable only under certain circumstances.
They emphasized that mistakenly sent money can only be returned to accounts provided that the approved requirements are met. However, if clients do not specifically apply with a statement and documents, the company will not automatically return the money.
As the company explained, they return the funds from incorrect payments of gas bills only based on a submitted application for a refund in the name of the company with a detailed description of the situation, date, and signature.
In addition, the funds will not be returned if a complete list of documents is not submitted. Namely:
- passport;
- copy of the identification code;
- payment document for the payment (this can be a receipt, check, or bank statement).
It is also necessary to indicate a phone number and email address.
If the money needs to be returned to a card, an additional certificate with bank details must be sent; if it is necessary to transfer funds from one personal account to another, both personal accounts and the amount must be specified in the statement.
All of this must be sent:
- to the Naftogaz email: [email protected];
- via regular mail to the address: Kropyvnytskyi, index 25009, Soborna St, 1A, LLC 'GC 'Naftogaz Ukraine'.
Clients of the gas supply company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' can receive a refund for overpayment for services, but adherence to the document requirements is mandatory. Without submitting an application and the relevant documents, the money will not be automatically refunded. A detailed instruction on the refund procedure can be found on the official website of the company.
