Like many other countries, Ukraine makes the transition to winter and summer time. This was reported by the media.
The Verkhovna Rada is holding a heated debate about switching clocks depending on the season. Some deputies believe this practice is outdated. However, on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada approved a law that provides for the abolition of the transition to winter and summer time in Ukraine. The bill was supported by 261 lawmakers. According to the clarifications, time in Ukraine will be determined by Kyiv time UTC+2.

Starting from 2025, the transition to summer time will be unnecessary.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky does not plan to sign the law that introduces the abolition of clock switching. According to him, this practice could negatively affect the economy.
If the law is not signed by the president, citizens will have to switch to summer time in spring.
The decision to abolish clock switching and retain winter time has caused different opinions among Ukrainians. Many citizens expressed support for summer time. Some public initiatives appealed to the president to reconsider the decision and support summer time.
The National Bank of Ukraine also explained how the banks' memorandum will affect citizens.
