The first girl has joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine under Contract 18-24. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 21-year-old Veronika has become a soldier of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians. She shared that her relatives learned about her joining the army just 1.5 days before the start of training.
The girl has a medical education and believes that she will be able to contribute to the military. She is also confident that everyone can defend Ukraine.
It is worth noting that the Contract 18-24 program has been expanded to include units of the National Guard 'Azov' and the 'Charter' brigade. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine previously explained the step-by-step procedure for joining military service under contract 18-24. The main requirements for contract servicemen are adulthood, suitability for military service according to medical and professional-psychological criteria, and the absence of criminal records.
