Missile Attack Hits Odesa
According to UATV: A missile strike launched by the Russian Armed Forces struck Odesa on July 15, 2023, killing three people and wounding six others. The attack targeted a residential complex, causing extensive damage and igniting a fire after a gas pipeline was ruptured. This assault is part of a wave of ongoing attacks on the city that have now continued for five consecutive days.
One of the strikes occurred around 7:00 AM. Witnesses reported that residents were at home at the time of the explosion. Renat, a local resident, recounted:
“At 6:50, I remember waking up and looking at my phone. Then we were jolted awake by a powerful blast. We gathered the children and got them out. Now we’re assessing the damage and trying to come to our senses.” - Renat
As a result of the strike, two children were rescued from the rubble. Another resident, Valentyna, described her experience:
“I got up, and the blast threw me back onto the bed. Now I’m completely on edge.” - Valentyna
