Both individuals have connections to Ukrainian officials. The operation, code-named 'Midas,' was launched in 2024 following a 15-month inquiry that involved more than 70 searches. Authorities seized $4 million during these actions.

Yuriy Horovyi and Vasyl Veselyi are suspects in corruption schemes that also involve Andriy Veselyi, Vasyl's biological brother.

The irony is that some of the figures in the so-called Mindichgate are currently in pretrial detention.
