When traveling with animals abroad, it is important to be aware of the requirements of some European Union countries regarding the import of dogs. There is a ban on the non-commercial transportation of certain breeds, meaning that people are not allowed to enter with such animals.The portal 'Law in Wartime' reported that all EU member states are restricting the import of any animals that have not reached the age of 6 months. Some countries also have bans on the keeping, breeding, and transportation of certain dog breeds due to their potential danger.Among the breeds banned from being imported into various European Union countries are: in Germany - pit bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, English bull terrier; in France - all breeds of the pit bull, mastiff, and Tosa families; in Denmark - pit bull terrier, Tosa Inu, American Staffordshire terrier, and others. Many countries have regulations regarding the keeping of animals that are considered potentially dangerous. The article also lists dogs that are not recognized by the International Dog Federation.The International Dog Federation (FCI) considers these dog breeds incompatible with international standards. In addition, Ukrainians are prohibited from keeping certain large predators, primates, venomous snakes and spiders, crocodiles, some birds, and marine animals at home; fines are imposed for violating these rules.
