Poland sent a note of protest to the Russian Federation due to the fall of a Russian drone
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland sent a note of protest to the Russian Federation after a Russian drone crashed on Polish territory on the evening of August 19. This was reported by the head of the Polish MFA, Radoslaw Sikorski, describing the drone as 'an incursion from the East'.
The fall of the Russian drone was also confirmed by the Polish Ministry of Defense. The drone fell 70 kilometers from Warsaw, in the village of Osiny. As a result of the explosion of the Russian drone, windows were shattered in three houses, and the police found charred metal and plastic debris at the scene.
“We are once again facing provocation from the Russian Federation - with a Russian drone. And this is happening at a critical moment when negotiations for peace are ongoing, when there is hope that this war, initiated by Russia against the Ukrainian state and threatening the security of NATO countries, can be halted. Russia is resorting to provocations again. Its strategy of destabilization and conducting hybrid warfare continues,” said Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz.
