A new training center for Ukrainian soldiers will be opened in Poland: details.
A training camp for Ukrainian soldiers in Poland will be opened on September 1
According to FREEДOM: In southern Poland, from September 1, the second largest training camp for Ukrainian and Polish soldiers will start. Built with the support of NATO countries and Norway, this was reported by Polish Defense Minister Włodzimierz Kosiniak-Kamysz on social media, as conveyed by FREEДОМ.
“This is our philosophy - we want to help Ukraine on Polish territory. This partnership with Norway is yielding positive results. Work is in full swing; everything will be completed by September 1 this year, and the first training course for Ukrainian servicemen will begin here on Polish territory. Of course, this is not the first course, as training has been going on for many months, but this is the first course in this camp, built together with our Norwegian allies,” said the head of the Polish defense ministry.
It’s worth noting that large-scale military exercises under the codename Iron Defender will take place in Poland in September, in which about 34,000 soldiers from Poland and NATO countries will participate.
Poland maintains stable friendly relations and partnerships with Ukraine, emphasized Shmyhal after communicating with Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Poland and Norway are jointly building a Ukrainian-Polish training camp for military personnel, which will serve as a platform for training Ukrainian servicemen. This is another step towards strengthening defense cooperation between Ukraine and its Western partners.Read also
