Mass prayer of Tikkun HaKlali in Uman
Uman became a place of mass prayer Tikkun HaKlali, attended by over 10 thousand Hasidim on the eve of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah. As reported by the United Jewish Community of Ukraine, during the event, Hasidim prayed for peace in Ukraine.This prayer was composed by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, to whose grave his followers, Breslov Hasidim, come. Hasidim from different countries also join the prayer Tikkun HaKlali. In total, about 31 thousand pilgrims arrived in Uman to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, who were there without incidents and with a sense of security.Rosh Hashanah is celebrated in honor of the creation of the world and symbolizes the end of one year and the beginning of another. This year, the celebration lasted from September 22 to 24, marking the beginning of the year 5785 in the Jewish calendar.To ensure safety during the celebration of Rosh Hashanah in Uman, checkpoints and video cameras were installed around the pilgrimage area. Ukraine and Israel developed a joint security plan for Hasidim visiting Uman for the holiday.The celebration of Rosh Hashanah in Uman took place safely, with significant participation from the Hasidic community, emphasizing the importance of such events for the Jewish community.
