According to Korrespondent.net: Porsche begins a new era in its history, presenting the completely electric Cayenne Electric 2026 — the most powerful car of the brand.

Model and Power

The lineup consists of two versions: Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric. Both options are based on the extended PPE platform with a wheelbase of 119 inches, providing greater comfort for passengers in the second row of seats.

The main feature is impressive performance. The most powerful variant, Cayenne Turbo Electric, is equipped with a dual-motor setup with an output of 844 hp in standard mode. When the Push-to-Pass button is activated, the power increases by another 173 hp for ten seconds, and the Launch Control function allows reaching a maximum of 1139 hp and 1500 Nm. This enables the electric crossover to accelerate to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and cover a quarter mile in 9.9 seconds, surpassing even the gasoline Cayenne Turbo GT. The base version, Cayenne Electric, has 402 hp in normal mode and up to 435 hp when using Launch Control, accelerating to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and achieving a top speed of 143 mph.

Battery and Charging

Both versions feature a new 113 kWh battery that operates on an 800-volt architecture and supports fast charging up to 400 kW. This allows charging the battery from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes. Porsche also plans to be the first manufacturer in the U.S. to offer wireless inductive charging for electric vehicles — just park over a special platform in the garage. Energy efficiency is enhanced by recuperation of up to 600 kW, reducing the use of mechanical brakes in most everyday situations. Among the available options are rear steering, Porsche Active Ride system, and PCCB carbon brakes.

Design and Interior

Outside, the Cayenne Electric retains the style of its predecessors, but the lines have become sharper, the headlights thinner, and the doors have frameless windows. The aerodynamics have been significantly updated, with a drag coefficient of 0.25, and hidden aero elements adapt to driving style. The Turbo Electric is distinguished by Turbonite-colored details. The interior has become more spacious and technological: a new panoramic roof with variable transparency, heating for most surfaces, a digital Flow Display panel with two OLED screens, and an optional 14.9-inch display for the passenger. An AR projection of 87 inches is also available, along with an upgraded voice system with AI elements and an extended multimedia function package, including streaming and games.

Prices and Availability

Deliveries of the Cayenne Electric in the U.S. will begin in late summer 2026. The price for the top Cayenne Turbo starts at $163,000, while the standard version is priced from $109,000. In the future, the lineup may be supplemented by an intermediate Cayenne S and the anticipated GTS.
