US Ambassador reacted to the attack by the Russian Federation on Kyiv. Brink corrected herself after yesterday's shame.
The US Ambassador acknowledged that the missiles hitting Ukraine are coming from Russia
The US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, reported that the shelling continues, which was carried out from Russia. It was noted that Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine are under fire from ballistic and cruise missiles. There are loud explosions in the capital, and there is information about attacks in several cities.
In the comments to her post, Brink was thanked for clearly identifying the source of the attack on Ukraine - Russia. It was noted that this is progress, as aggressors are clearly recognized and condemned. Previously, when Brink commented on the missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, she did not mention Russia, which caused outrage among Ukrainians and foreigners. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also criticized this situation.
Yesterday, Brink's post, in which she made vague statements about the source of the attack, caused outrage among online users. Zelensky, in turn, named the children who died as a result of the attack on Kryvyi Rih and emphasized that people had only a few minutes to take cover from the missile strike from the area of Taganrog, which is being shelled by the enemy side. Among the dead were 9 adults.
The situation in Ukraine remains tense, as shelling from Russia continues. It is worth noting that the position of the US and the international community is an important factor in resolving this conflict.
