The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that a comprehensive reconstruction is needed after Russia's full-scale aggression. He hopes for Italy's active participation in this.
This was stated by the Ukrainian leader during a speech at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome.
'We all remember the significance of the Marshall Plan, we need a substantial comprehensive approach. After full-scale aggression, extensive reconstruction is required', Zelensky said.
He noted that Ukraine counts on Italy's active participation in the development and implementation of the recovery plan.
The President thanked Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni for today's signals and for Italy's readiness to take patronage for the recovery and assistance to Odessa.
It is worth noting that Zelensky and Meloni agreed on steps — it was announced that over 10 billion euros would be raised to support Ukraine.
Today, a meeting of the Coalition of Willing will also take place, with the participation of the USA for the first time.
