The opposition group 'Hayat Tahrir al-Sham' has captured most of Aleppo, marking the first incursion of rebels into the city since 2016. Syrian forces have reported a temporary withdrawal from Aleppo, describing it as a regrouping before a counterattack against terrorists. The Turkish foreign minister warned the U.S. about the dangers of supporting terrorist groups in the region.

As of the evening of November 30, 2024, most of Aleppo has come under the control of the opposition group 'Hayat Tahrir al-Sham'. For the first Time since 2016, rebel forces have managed to enter the strategically important city.
Syrian military announced a temporary withdrawal of troops from Aleppo, presenting it as a regrouping before a counterattack against the so-called terrorists. According to them, dozens of servicemen have been killed or injured in battles over recent days.

President Bashar al-Assad's forces have blocked Aleppo airport and all roads leading to the city. Rumors are circulating on social media about a possible escape of Assad to Moscow, and Russia reportedly promised additional military support to suppress the rebels.

The Russian military command plans to transfer four Su-34 fighter-bombers to Khmeimim airbase. An Israeli military analyst believes this offensive may indicate the West's intention to weaken Russian President Vladimir Putin's position in Syria. The commander of the rebel brigade 'Jaish al-Izza' explained the success of the operation by the absence of Iranian support in the region due to extensive Israeli strikes in Gaza.
