According to inkorr.com: A terrible fire broke out at a hospital in Uzhhorod. As a result of the incident, one patient died, and 69 people were evacuated from the fifth floor. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire started in a room on the fifth floor, where a 74-year-old man was poisoned by combustion products. Unfortunately, the medical staff could not help him.
“Fire at Uzhhorod City Hospital: a room on the fifth floor caught fire - a 74-year-old patient died. The man was poisoned by combustion products, he felt unwell. Unfortunately, he could not be saved,” the message states.
Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene, and the hospital staff managed to take all patients to a safe area. The police have opened a criminal case due to violations of fire safety requirements in the hospital, which led to this tragedy. Investigative actions are underway to clarify all the circumstances of this fire.
In light of this tragedy, it is worth noting that this is not the first case in a week where Ukraine's infrastructure suffers from fires. This once again underscores the importance of adhering to all necessary safety requirements that can save lives and prevent similar situations.
