Air Defense Instead of Fireworks: Moscow Fortified Before the Parade.
Before the May 9 parade, about three hundred air defense systems were deployed to Moscow. This was reported by military journalist Andriy Tsapliyenko. According to him, additional air defense systems were transferred from Kazan and Grozny. All these systems are stationed in Moscow in several echelons.
The first echelon is used for target detection. To achieve this, the radar station 'Don-2N' is operational. Mobile radar systems 'Nebo-M', 'Gamma-S1', and 'Kasta' are also working in the vicinity of Moscow.
The S-400 covers approaches from a distance of up to 400 km.
The second echelon is responsible for intercepting strategic threats, while the third echelon is for long-range air defense systems.
The 'Pantsir-S1' and 'Tor-M2' systems are located on the roofs of buildings and on mobile platforms.
In addition, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, published a drawing by Ukrainian artist Bohdan Karpov, known as 'Steppe Wind', on his Telegram channel. The drawing depicts the Kremlin on fire and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. There is also an inscription: 'We brought this day closer as much as we could.'
