Zelensky awarded 281 servicemen of the National Guard
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded state honors to 281 servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, 122 of whom posthumously. This was reported by the press service of the NGU in Telegram.
The relevant decree No. 704/2024 dated October 16, 2024, was published on the president's website. The awards are intended for personal courage shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as for selfless service to the Ukrainian people.
The honored servicemen received the orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, Danylo Halytskyi, and «For Courage» II and III degrees, medals «For Military Service to Ukraine», «For Impeccable Service», «Defender of the Fatherland», and «For Saving Life».
Let's recall, for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title «Hero of Ukraine» to another 19 servicemen, ten of them posthumously. The relevant decrees are published on the president's website.
