The Russian dictator Putin prepares for a meeting with Trump
Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that the White House is 'sincerely' striving to end the conflict in Ukraine ahead of negotiations with US President Donald Trump. He noted that the US administration is actively moving towards stopping hostilities and reaching mutually beneficial agreements - Putin reported during a meeting in Moscow.
'I gathered the meeting to talk about the stage we are at with the current American administration, which, as everyone knows, is making, in my opinion, quite energetic and sincere efforts to stop hostilities, to end the crisis'- said Putin.
He emphasized that achieving mutual understanding could serve as a basis for large-scale reconciliation. The Russian Federation has already sent a special plane to the meeting with Trump, which is scheduled to take place in Alaska. In addition, a trilateral meeting of Zelensky, Putin, and Trump is expected in the near future.
Putin expressed hope for a positive outcome of the negotiations and stressed the importance of joint efforts to achieve peace in the region. Such a meeting has enormous potential in resolving the conflict and improving relations between countries.Read also
