The agreement on minerals between Ukraine and the USA
On Thursday, May 8, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement on minerals that was recently signed by Ukraine and the USA. This information was conveyed by the people's deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak on Telegram.
338 people's deputies voted 'for'.
The parliament ratified the intergovernmental agreement that will allow the creation of an Investment Fund. Earlier, the committee of the Verkhovna Rada supported the ratification, and the government submitted the necessary documents, including an explanatory note, the text of the agreement, and its registration.
There are also two additional technical agreements that will be signed later between the parties. However, they do not require ratification in parliament. It is worth recalling that at the end of April, Ukraine and the USA signed an agreement to create the American-Ukrainian Investment Recovery Fund with equal participation of the parties.
The signing and ratification of this agreement reflect the deep and fruitful relationships between Ukraine and the United States, which will contribute to the development of both countries in the field of minerals and investments.
