Change of positions: details

Let us remind you that on January 9, a statement from Fedorov about his resignation was received by the parliament. This happened after President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky proposed Fedorov to become the Minister of Defense on January 2. The head of state justified this proposal by the need for radical technological modernization of the army, given Fedorov's successes in digitalization and drone manufacturing, the number of which has already exceeded 1000 units per day.

Regarding Denys Shmyhal, who held the position of Minister of Defense, Zelensky suggested that he move to the position of Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Energy.

These personnel changes emphasize the Ukrainian government's commitment to modernization and improvement of efficiency in key areas. Appointing Fedorov to the Ministry of Defense may open new prospects for the technological development of the army, which is crucial in the context of modern challenges. At the same time, Shmyhal's change of role indicates a strategy for optimizing the government in the energy sector, which is also a critically important issue for the country.
