Attitudes towards the new US President, Donald Trump, are improving. According to a survey by Emerson College, Trump's approval rating has risen to 54%, which is higher than before the elections. This information is reported by The Hill.

The most support currently comes from men - 61%, while among women, this figure stands at 48%, reports ZN.UA.

Among white voters, 59% support Trump, while among black voters, this number is only 28%.

55% of voters under 30 expressed a positive attitude towards Trump. The most positive respondents are Americans aged 40 to 50 - 60%. Americans over 70 support Trump at 48%.

Pollsters also asked Americans if Trump's victory in the 2024 elections was unexpected for them. 46% of respondents admitted they were surprised. Among Kamala Harris supporters, this figure was 67%. Meanwhile, 71% of Trump supporters were not surprised.

Respondents were also asked to express their opinions on the 2028 elections. 37% supported Harris as the candidate from the Democratic Party, 35% are still undecided. 51% do not know who to vote for from the Republican Party. 30% expressed willingness to support J.D. Vance as Trump's running mate.

The survey was conducted among a thousand voters from November 20-22. The margin of error is plus-minus 3%.

The survey results were released two weeks after the elections when Trump returned to the White House.

The President has already appointed most candidates to his new administration, some of whom are controversial figures.
