Strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
According to UATV: On June 17, 2023, Russian forces launched more than 40 drone attacks against the Dnipropetrovsk region, wounding three men in the process. The assaults targeted five districts across the oblast, causing extensive damage to both infrastructure and residential buildings.
Aftermath of the Assaults
In the Dnipro district, a private home and local infrastructure were completely destroyed. The city of Samar saw an administrative building hit. In the Nikopol district, shelling demolished an apartment block and a private house, while also damaging several vehicles. Within the Hrushivka community in the Kryvyi Rih area, the following were struck:
- infrastructure
- private residences
- a car
Additionally, one vehicle was damaged in the Synelnykove district.
According to Oleksandr Hanzha, on the night of June 17, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 119 strike drones. These events highlight the alarming situation in the region and the continuing aggression by occupying forces.
These strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are part of a broader Russian military strategy that relies on drones to target civilian infrastructure.
