Over 6,000 Russian Casualties in Three Days as Assaults Hit Record Levels on the Frontline.
Russian Assaults on the Frontline
According to Novyny.live: Between March 17 and March 20, Russian forces launched 619 assaults across the frontline in an attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses. Their efforts came at a massive cost, with more than 6,090 troops killed or wounded. The heaviest fighting took place near Pokrovsk and Oleksandrivka, where occupying forces concentrated their most intense operations.
On March 19, soldiers from the Third Army Corps thwarted what was the largest mechanized offensive attempt by Russian troops in the Lyman-Borova sector. The enemy deployed over 500 infantry soldiers, 28 armored vehicles, and more than 100 motorcycles and other light vehicles. Despite the scale of the operation, Russian forces suffered severe losses. Over the course of the week, total enemy casualties—including both killed and seriously wounded—reached approximately 8,710 personnel.
Thanks to the professional and coordinated actions of Ukrainian warriors, the enemy's offensive operations were halted on several fronts.
Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Third Army Corps
The situation on the frontline remains tense, with the enemy constantly trying to maintain the initiative. However, the courage and determination of Ukrainian troops continue to create major obstacles for the adversary's plans.
These developments highlight the ongoing intensity of combat between Ukrainian and Russian forces. They underscore the critical role of tactical skill and professionalism within the Ukrainian armed forces. The heavy toll on Russian troops reflects the significant difficulties they face in attempting to breach Ukrainian defenses. This context also emphasizes the importance of cooperation and coordinated military action in maintaining security and resilience along the front.
