According to Novyny.live: The Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi reported suspicions of abuses by city council officials during the renovation of the children's camp 'Start' in the Carpathians. He announced this information on January 13. The renovation of the camp included significant expenses, including:

- the replacement of windows cost 1.5 million hryvnias;
- 1.9 million hryvnias were spent on furniture and equipment.
The total cost of the renovation was about 15 million hryvnias.
Control and Investigation
Andriy Sadovyi noted that all tender procedures and work performed in the city council are under the control of law enforcement agencies.
“To understand, any tender procedures and any work performed in the city council are under the watchful eye of law enforcement agencies,”he emphasized. The Mayor also expressed his position on the need for strict punishment for abuses:
“I will ask for the most severe penalties for such crimes that may occur.”
This situation has raised concerns among the public regarding the transparency of budget expenditures on repairs in children's institutions. It is noted that an investigation has already been launched, and law enforcement agencies continue to verify the actions of officials involved in the renovation of the 'Start' camp.
The situation surrounding the renovation of the 'Start' camp highlights the importance of control over the use of budget funds, especially in areas related to education and child upbringing. The Mayor of Lviv's reaction and the initiated investigation indicate a growing attention to issues of transparency and accountability in public spending. The public is expecting the results of the investigation, which may influence future decisions regarding the financing of similar projects.
