Russia deleted one of the most closed state registers of Ukraine: is there a threat to the data.
Russia deleted some state registers, but the data will be restored
According to former Justice Minister Denys Maliuska, Russian hackers carried out a cyberattack during which some state registers were deleted. However, this is not critical as the data was stored in backups and will soon be restored. 'All the information that was claimed to be stolen by the Russians was actually available to everyone,' Maliuska noted.
According to the former minister, the only exception was the State Register of Civil Status Acts, which contains confidential information about adoptions. However, this register will also be restored thanks to the availability of backups. Attacks on this register and other resources have become regular since the beginning of the Russian invasion.
Ukrainian Justice Minister Olha Stefanishyna reported that this cyberattack was the largest in recent times.
