Russia is using an American online store to purchase weapon components - media.
Russian distributors have started using the online store of Texas Instruments to purchase American chips and microcircuits that are necessary for weapon production.
Russian sites getchips.ru and altchips.ru sell these products with a 40% markup. It has been revealed that Russian portals obtain complete information through the Texas Instruments API, which allows them to view prices and product availability.
The company notes that it does not provide its API to Russian firms and all companies that have access to it undergo verification. It has been found that products are also received by intermediaries from Hong Kong, who bring them to Russia through the company Sea Global SCM and the airline 'Aeroflot'.
Texas Instruments chips have been found in missiles and drones of the Russian army. In total, 14% of components in all weapons acquired since the beginning of the conflict were produced by Texas Instruments.
