Ukrzaliznytsia launches 16 additional trains for the holidays: popular routes and the Carpathians.
According to ТСН: Ukrzaliznytsia plans to launch 16 new trains during the holidays. The frequency of regular flights will also be increased, and additional carriages will be added on the most popular routes.
This was announced by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia on Telegram.
Some of these routes will also be included in the '3000 km across Ukraine' program in January.

- No. 271/272 Kyiv – Ivano-Frankivsk
- No. 237/238 Kyiv – Uzhhorod
- No. 220/219 Kyiv – Dnipro
- No. 248/247 Kyiv – Odesa
- No. 265/266 Kyiv – Odesa
- No. 159/160 Kyiv – Truskavets
- No. 249/250 Kyiv – Lviv
- No. 289/290 Kyiv – Lviv
- No. 291/292 Kyiv – Lviv
- No. 741/742 Kyiv – Lviv
- No. 777/778 Kyiv – Lviv
- No. 197/198 Kyiv – Kovel
- No. 168/167 Odesa – Lviv
Ukrzaliznytsia also highlights train No. 291 Kyiv – Lviv, which has a convenient connection lasting only 35 minutes with train No. 157/158 Lviv – Chop. This route passes through popular Carpathian destinations – Slavske, Volovets, Svalyava, and Mukachevo.
Additionally, train No. 289 Kyiv – Lviv provides convenient conditions for trips to the mountains, arriving in Lviv at 07:40. Passengers can continue their journey with the modernized diesel train Lviv – Vorokhta, which will run through Yaremche and Bukovel at 10:51.
Moreover, additional flights of high-speed trains have been scheduled for the holidays:
- No. 755/756 Kyiv – Lutsk
- No. 720/719 Kyiv – Kharkiv
For passengers from the Dnipro region heading west, additional connecting carriages on the route Dnipro – Lviv will operate as part of train No. 032/031 Zaporizhzhia – Przemyśl.
Ukrzaliznytsia also reminds: if there are no tickets available in the desired direction, it is worth using the auto-purchase function in the UZ application, which automatically purchases a ticket as soon as a free seat becomes available.
It is reminded that earlier it was reported that due to a drone attack on the railway infrastructure in Zhytomyr region, many passenger trains are forced to operate on alternative routes.
The introduction of new trains and increased flights is an important step to facilitate passenger transportation during the holidays. Ukrzaliznytsia aims to provide comfortable conditions for everyone planning to travel across Ukraine, especially to popular tourist destinations. The use of modern technologies, such as automatic ticket purchasing, also demonstrates the company's desire to keep up with the times and meet the needs of its customers.
