In Kherson, a direct hit on a private home also damaged three apartment buildings and five other private houses. These strikes killed one person and wounded four others.
In Sloviansk, Russian shelling damaged 14 houses and a car. A residential building caught fire in Druzhkivka. In the Kharkiv region, ten settlements came under fire, though no casualties were reported there. According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov, the situation in the region remains under control despite the attacks.
Situation in Chernihiv Region
Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region overnight, with two explosions reported. The owner of one of the houses was injured. Over the course of the day, Russian forces shelled border settlements in this region 38 times, with 53 explosions recorded. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that the situation remains tense.
On March 6th, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with 141 strike drones, highlighting an escalation in the conflict and the ongoing threat to civilians in affected areas. The targeted regions continue to assess the consequences of the shelling and coordinate firefighting and aid efforts for the victims. These attacks are part of a sustained campaign against civilian infrastructure that has characterized the full-scale invasion.
The overall situation in Ukraine remains difficult, with continued shelling harming civilians, particularly in regions already heavily impacted by the war. Given the rising intensity of attacks, coordination between local authorities and rescue services is critical to provide urgent assistance to victims and ensure public safety. This escalation of violence threatens not only the physical safety of residents but also their long-term mental health and well-being.
