Strikes Target Dnipropetrovsk Region
According to UATV: On February 28, Russian forces launched drone attacks against three districts within Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region. The assault damaged transport infrastructure, multiple apartment buildings, a private house, and a power line. One man was reported injured in the attacks.
Scope of the Damage
The strikes hit communities in Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovsk, Mezhova, and Vasylkiv. The head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Ganzha, detailed the extensive damage inflicted on local infrastructure. These incidents follow a series of Russian strikes on February 27 targeting the Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kharkiv regions, as well as the city of Sumy. This ongoing campaign of long-range strikes is a hallmark of Russia's invasion, now in its second year.
These attacks underscore the continued military aggression by Russia against Ukraine, a conflict that has now persisted for over a year.
The damage to infrastructure in Dnipropetrovsk and other regions highlights the severe consequences for civilians and risks worsening the humanitarian situation across the country. Ukrainian authorities continue to work on ensuring security and restoring the affected areas.
