Russian Drone Strike on Kharkiv Injures 19, Including a Child.
Major Assault on Kharkiv
According to UATV: In the early hours of January 24, a prolonged Russian drone assault on Kharkiv resulted in significant damage to residential areas and left 19 people wounded, including a child. The attack, which lasted over two hours, was carried out using Iranian-made 'Shahed' drones. This incident is part of a wider escalation of strikes on Ukrainian cities, testing civilian resilience and infrastructure.
The bombardment caused damage to:
- private houses,
- apartment buildings,
- a student dormitory,
- a hospital,
- a maternity hospital.
More than a thousand windows were shattered in residential buildings, causing severe damage that requires urgent restoration efforts.
“The strikes from 25 'Shahed' drones hit multi-story and private residential buildings. There are casualties. Regarding utilities, unfortunately, they have been disrupted. Municipal services are working. In total, over a thousand windows have been blown out. We are currently inspecting all residential buildings near the impact sites. We will work as long as necessary to prevent the heating system from freezing.”
