Russia attacked Kyiv and the region: where the enemy hit and what the consequences are.
Russia launched massive attacks on Ukraine with missiles and drones, leading to fires in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. It has been reported that there are already casualties in the capital. Zaporizhzhia was also attacked twice overnight, causing significant destruction and injuries among local residents.
Attack on Kyiv
According to inkorr.com: On the night of September 28, Kyiv was targeted by Russian attacks using drones and missiles. The incidents affected various parts of the city:
- Solomianskyi District - partial destruction of a residential building;
- Sviatoshynskyi District - debris fell on the territory and non-residential buildings;
- Holosiivskyi District - destruction of a private house;
- Darnytskyi District - damage to an estate;
- Dniprovskyi District - burning cars.
Emergency services are working at the scene. The attack resulted in casualties, who have already been taken to hospitals for assistance.
Strikes in the Kyiv region
At the same time, the occupiers attacked the Kyiv region with drones. The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, reported on the consequences of the attack in four districts:
- Buča District - buildings and vehicles caught fire;
- Fastiv District - fire in a house;
- Bila Tserkva District - houses caught fire;
- Obukhiv District - debris falling caused a fire.
All services are actively working to eliminate the aftermath of the attack.
Russian losses in Zaporizhzhia
On the night of September 28, Russia carried out a second shelling of Zaporizhzhia. The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, spoke about the attempted attack on the city’s critical infrastructure.
These events caused significant damage to buildings and houses, as well as fires and injuries among residents. Russian troops launched at least four strikes, resulting in substantial material losses.
Trump to meet with congressional leaders
U.S. President Donald Trump plans to meet with congressional leaders on Monday, September 29, to discuss funding and avoid a government shutdown. The presence of the five highest leaders will help discuss possible solutions to the situation.
NATO to strengthen mission in the Baltic Sea
In light of the incidents involving drones in the Baltic Sea, NATO has decided to strengthen its mission in the region. These measures involve additional resources to enhance control and protect the territory.
- Platforms for reconnaissance, surveillance, and reconnaissance;
- Anti-aircraft frigate.
The events of recent days indicate an escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia. These attacks inflict serious harm on the civilian population and infrastructure of the shelled regions.
