Russian troops again attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones on the night of August 6. In total, the enemy launched 45 strike drones of the Shahed type and imitation drones from various directions - from the Kursk region, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea (Chaudah). This was reported by the press service of the Air Forces of Ukraine.
How air defense worked on the night of August 6
The defense forces of Ukraine used aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile fire groups, electronic warfare units, and unmanned aerial interception systems to repel the air assaults. According to preliminary data, 36 enemy drones were destroyed or suppressed in various directions. However, nine hits from enemy drones and the fall of debris from downed drones were recorded.
Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine calculated the number of intercepted missiles in the summer, and President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the delivery of a new batch of combat aircraft to Ukraine.
During the enemy's nighttime attack, Ukrainian defense forces successfully defended themselves, destroying or downing the majority of the launched kamikaze drones. The attack of the Russian troops, although threatening, did not manage to inflict serious damage on Ukraine's defensive positions.Read also
