Assessing Russia’s Capabilities in Its Aggression Against Ukraine

According to Espreso.tv: Roman Bezsmertnyi, Ukraine’s former ambassador to Belarus, has weighed in on Russia’s ability to strike Ukraine, asserting that Moscow has reached its maximum capacity in deploying drones and missiles. According to him, Russia can launch up to 600 drones and 70 missiles per month—a significant factor in modern combat. Bezsmertnyi also noted that for three consecutive months, Russia has been firing ballistic missiles at Ukraine, reflecting sustained pressure on the country’s infrastructure.

Strikes on Kyiv and the Urgency of Targeting Weapons Production

On June 25, Russia launched ballistic missiles at Kyiv, causing debris to fall in the Darnytskyi district and sparking a fire in a warehouse. Bezsmertnyi further remarked that

“missile warfare is inherently limited, as the resources—especially for ballistic systems—are extremely complex to produce”
- Roman Bezsmertnyi.

The former ambassador highlighted a critical priority: destroying Russian weapons manufacturing sites. He stated,

“It is essential for Ukraine to now strike Russia’s production facilities for drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles”
- Roman Bezsmertnyi. These comments underscore the importance of Ukraine taking proactive measures in response to Russian aggression.

Bezsmertnyi’s remarks shed light on the pressing challenges Ukraine faces amid ongoing Russian attacks. The relentless use of missiles and drones by Moscow demonstrates the need for Ukraine to ramp up its military efforts to counter these threats. His assessment of Russia’s weaponry capabilities and strategic advice highlights the critical role of international support and the development of Ukraine’s own defense technologies.
