Russians on the Pokrovsk Direction: Strategy of Territory for Lives of Soldiers.

According to FREEДOM: Heavy fighting continues on the Pokrovsk direction. The Russian army is trying to capture the city and create a 'cauldron', but Ukrainian defenders are actively resisting the enemy. This information was provided to us yesterday by Pavlo Lakiichuk, a military expert and head of security projects at the Globalistics Center 'Strategy XXI' on the TV channel FREEДOM.

The expert explained that the Pokrovsk direction refers to a large front where heavy fighting is taking place, and the Russians are not sparing their losses in manpower.

“When we talk about Pokrovsk, we mean both the south of Pokrovsk and the southwest of this defensive hub. This includes the east, the northeast, as well as the direction towards Dobropillya. Heavy fighting is occurring on all these sections, the Russians do not take their personnel losses into account. Currently, their strategy is largely based on the principle of: territory in exchange for lives. They infiltrate one or two at a time, expecting that some of these people will simply survive. And so far, this tactic is yielding success. In exchange for lives, Russian soldiers capture meter by meter of Ukrainian territory,” said Lakiichuk.

To the south and southwest of Pokrovsk, the expert notes that there is currently a weakening of the enemy's activity, who may be regrouping for a new attack.

“It's not so much a lull, but a weakening of activity; obviously, the enemy is regrouping there in anticipation of possible successes to the northeast of Pokrovsk, where they have none. There, the Defense Forces continue to systematically destroy the enemy, the remnants of their 'shapoklyaks'. The enemy is trying to encircle Pokrovsk, forming a kind of 'cauldron'. This will determine the further plans of the Russian occupiers regarding the storming of Pokrovsk or its encirclement,” the expert noted.

The defenders of the Ukrainian city are actively acting, not allowing the Russians to implement their criminal plans. The situation remains tense, but the Ukrainian soldiers are bravely defending their land from the enemy's assault.
