Use of new engine bombs in Sumy region
Today, August 9, in the Sumy region, the use of new engine bombs, which can fly at a longer distance than the KABs, was recorded for the first time. This was reported by the head of Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh in a TV marathon.
The head of the RMA notes that in just one day, the Russian Federation carried out 24 launches, 11 of which were new munitions.
«Today, from 07:30 to this moment, 24 launches of such missiles were made, but we note a change in certain munitions. Previously, these were simple KABs that were aimed at residential areas and infrastructure objects. Now there are new munitions – gliding ones. They are the same as KAB but have an engine and they fly significantly further, twice as far, and more accurately. 11 of them were launched», – the statement says.
Let us remind you that evacuation of the local population from 23 settlements in five communities of the Sumy district has been announced in the Sumy region. This applies to the 10-kilometer border territory.
