Russia during the attack destroyed the 'Sports Palace' in Kharkiv: The National Olympic Committee made a statement.
In Kharkiv, Russian occupiers destroyed the «Sports Palace», reported the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
According to the NOC, the building of the complex was attacked four times.
«The Sports Palace» in Kharkiv was one of three locations that Russian troops attacked on September 1. The sports complex was completely destroyed», said the NOC.
The public organization calls to ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating «in any international competitions in any status».
The NOC said: «#RussiaIsATerroristState, and Ukraine's position remains unchanged. As long as Russian troops, with the support of the Belarusian government, commit acts of genocide against the Ukrainian people, Russian and Belarusian athletes should be banned from participating in any international competitions».
Today, the occupiers attacked Kharkiv with ten strikes.
Earlier, on August 31, Russian invaders attacked a police car with a drone in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. Two policemen were injured, one was killed.
Also, in the evening of August 31, Russia launched a 'Grom-E1' missile from the territory of the Belgorod region, which hit the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged.
Also, on August 30, as a result of an enemy strike on Kharkiv, six people were killed. Among the victims is a 14-year-old girl playing on a playground. Another 97 people were injured, of which 22 are children. 5 children are in satisfactory condition, and a 17-year-old girl is in serious condition. The occupiers struck Kharkiv with aerial bombs, one of the strikes hit the central part of the city.
