Russia has begun mobilization in occupied territories: what is known.
According to inkorr.com: Russia has started mobilization in the captured territories ahead of the autumn conscription of 2025, as reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation. In particular, in Melitopol, there are discussions about involving local residents in military enlistment offices, medical commissions, and accounting.
“This is an attempt to force Ukrainians to participate in a war against their own country. Involving residents of the occupied territories into the Russian army is a violation of international law. The Kremlin's promises that residents would not be touched for at least five years turned out to be a lie,” analysts noted.
Center employees emphasized that Russian occupiers view Ukrainians in these territories merely as 'cannon fodder' for their army.
According to the report from the Center for Countering Disinformation, mobilization in temporarily occupied territories by Russia has already started. In Melitopol, the administration of the occupiers is forcibly recruiting local residents to serve in the Russian armed forces. These actions violate international humanitarian law and call into question the Kremlin's promises to protect the residents of the occupied territories.
Such actions by Russia indicate aggressive intent towards Ukraine and further exploitation of the local population. Mobilization in the occupied areas raises concerns among the international community, which condemns violations of human rights and international law. Further active measures are needed from Ukraine and international partners to counter this act of aggression.
